AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the Farmer Support design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, has announced its plans to establish a state-of-the-art Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in Amnéville (Les Portes de l’Orne), just 12 kilometers from its historical site in Ennery, located on the outskirts of Metz (Moselle), France. This ambitious development represents a total investment of approximately €87 million and signifies a strategic move to optimize logistics, enhance sustainability, and better serve farmers and dealers worldwide.
A Milestone Investment
AGCO is investing approximately €17 million in a low-emission, sustainable facility that will primarily serve Europe and the Middle East (EME) while acting as the Master Depot for parts supply into North America, South America, and Asia Pacific regions. The Farmer Support new logistics platform, which is expected to be operational by the end of 2026, reaffirms AGCO’s commitment to the Metz metropolitan area, where the company has maintained strong local roots for 30 years. The strategic location of the new PDC will enable AGCO to continue leveraging its proximity to major markets while enhancing its global supply chain capabilities.
Jena Holtberg-Benge, AGCO Vice President of Aftersales Parts, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “This new center is instrumental in AGCO’s transformation journey to further strengthen our industry-leading parts supply to dealers and farmers in EME while offering the best experience to our employees. This site is an investment in our people and our Farmer Support , ensuring we can deliver the right parts at the right place, every time.”
The new facility will span 84,000 square meters under roof on a 200,000-square-meter site, making it one of the most advanced logistics hubs in the region.

Strategic Relocation and Operational Excellence
Over the past three decades, AGCO’s Ennery site has expanded significantly to support the growth of its leading brands, including Fendt®, Massey Ferguson®, PTx, and Valtra®. The new Amnéville facility will consolidate five existing facilities into a single, highly efficient operation, incorporating advanced technologies such as automated storage and packaging systems and state-of-the-art scanning equipment. Philippe Gehl, Senior Manager Master Depot & Site Lead at Ennery, highlighted the collaborative approach to the transition, stating, “We will design the new site in close collaboration with Ennery’s highly experienced team who will transfer to the new PDC. We will prioritize a smooth transition to ensure continuity of service for our farmers and wellbeing for our employees. In our new industry-leading and efficient operation, this talented team will have the ability to manage more than five million order lines annually, ensuring urgent parts delivery to better serve our EME dealers and ultimately maximize machine uptime for our Farmer Support .”
The facility is designed to meet stringent safety standards, focusing on improving ergonomics and working conditions for operators. The Farmer Support office spaces within the PDC will also foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, further enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity.
A Commitment to Sustainability Farmer Support
Sustainability is at the forefront of the project. The facility will feature solar panels covering its entire roof, generating renewable energy to power operations, including automated systems, air conditioning, and electric vehicle charging stations. The low-emission facility will rely on renewable electricity and heating sourced from the metropolitan area’s hot water supply. Additionally, the entire fleet of material handling equipment will be electric.
Gehl elaborated on the sustainability features, saying, “The Farmer Support low-emission facility will use renewable electricity, renewable heating from the metropolitan area hot water supply, and the entire fleet of material handling equipment will be electric. We are proud to create a flagship, sustainable facility for AGCO, which contributes to the company’s global commitment to reduce Scopes 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2033.”
Rainwater harvesting is another innovative feature of the new facility. Collected rainwater will be filtered, stored, and reused for cleaning and sanitary purposes, ensuring efficient water use and conservation. ThisFarmer Support initiative is particularly significant given predictions of high water stress in the area by 2030.
The relocation to Amnéville also contributes to the revitalization of an area that has been vacant for over a decade. The project includes soil decontamination, recultivation, and efforts to minimize artificial land coverage. AGCO plans to plant nearly 200 trees at the new location, enhancing biodiversity and improving the quality of life for employees and the surrounding community.
