Stretching across the concourse between Terminals B and C, the remarkable line of cheesesteaks reached a record-breaking total of 1,291 sandwiches. The length of the display extended more than three football fields, nearly filling the entire corridor and creating a visually striking and mouthwatering scene for travelers passing through.

The scale of the operation was as impressive as the final result. The record-setting line required approximately 990 pounds of shaved ribeye steak, 225 pounds of rich cheese sauce, and over 1,200 foot-long rolls. According to Guinness World Records, the “Longest Line of Cheesesteaks” represents a newly established category, making the accomplishment even more noteworthy as a first-of-its-kind achievement.

A number of well-known local suppliers played a crucial role in bringing the event to life. Amoroso’s Baking Company supplied the classic rolls that are synonymous with authentic cheesesteaks, while Cooper Sharp provided the creamy cheese sauce that defines the sandwich’s flavor profile. The beef was delivered by Philly’s Best Steak Company, ensuring high-quality ingredients throughout the production process.

Additional support came from Chickie’s & Pete’s, which contributed kitchen equipment and preparation space, enabling teams to efficiently produce the large volume of sandwiches required for the record. Meanwhile, Pepsi served as the official beverage partner for Cheesesteak Week at PHL, complementing the culinary celebration.

Once the cheesesteak line was officially measured and verified by veteran Guinness adjudicator Michael Empric, the sandwiches were distributed to passengers, event participants, and guests. Notable establishments include Geno’s Steaks, Jim’s South St. Famous Cheesesteaks, Tony Luke’s, Bud & Marilyn’s, Passyunk Steaks, and Sabrina’s Cafe, among others.
