Aramark Earns Dual Nominations at 2024 SportsBusiness Journal Tech Awards
Aramark has secured nominations in two categories for the prestigious 2024 SportsBusiness Journal Sports Business Tech Awards.
Their innovative Digital ID collaboration with ID Mission and Zippin has earned a spot on the list for Venue Operations Technology of the Year. Additionally, the collaboration between Cleveland Browns, Wicket, Lava, Tapin2, and Aramark has been acknowledged among the Technology Collaborations of the Year.

In the category of Venue Operations Technology of the Year, Aramark, Zippin, and ID Mission’s joint effort resulted in Digital ID, a pioneering digital age verification and payment program. This program allows fans to enroll using facial recognition technology and confirm their identity at nine Drink Mkt locations within Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. Digital ID, powered by ID Mission and Zippin technology, offers seamless authentication and payment solutions.
Moreover, Aramark’s introduction of Express Beer at Cleveland Browns Stadium has revolutionized age-authenticated alcohol sales. Leveraging Wicket facial recognition, Lava digital currency management, and Tapin2 point-of-sale products, Express Beer enables a streamlined process tied to fans’ credit cards for hassle-free transactions.
The winners in each award category will be announced live on March 5 at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York, marking the kickoff of SBJ Tech Week. These nominees will compete for the esteemed title of Best in Sports Technology, recognizing the most significant technological impact on the sports industry in 2023.
