Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SD Plantation or the Company) has achieved yet another remarkable milestone as the world’s leading sustainable palm oil producer by receiving the prestigious Platinum Award at the Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2023. This recognition marks a significant achievement for the Company, surpassing the top five recipients of the Highest Gold Award of the night. The AIGA, organized by the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM), serves as a distinguished platform to commend both public and private sectors in Malaysia for their exceptional contributions to promoting integrity.
Suhailah Mohamed Abdulla, Chief Integrity & Assurance Officer of SD Plantation, emphasized that the award underscores the Company’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and governance, and its continuous efforts in fostering a culture of transparency and integrity across its global operations.

SD Plantation’s Platinum win at AIGA 2023 acknowledges the Company’s exceptional dedication to instilling integrity across all aspects of its operations. Notably, it commends the Company’s Integrity Day initiative, comprising 27 roadshows conducted across its global operations, the ‘Suara Kami’ grievance channel for workers (available in seven languages), SD Plantation’s comprehensive Whistleblowing Dashboard and Reporting system, as well as its initiatives to promote awareness of its Code of Business Conduct.
Suhailah, who heads SD Plantation’s Group Integrity and Governance Assurance department, highlighted the significance of this accolade for the Company, following the success of its annual global Integrity Summit held on February 7, 2024.
A total of 154 entries were submitted for AIGA 2023, representing 95 public agencies and 59 private organizations from across the nation
