Stowaways Bar & Restaurant Opens at Cape May Ferry Terminal

The Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) and Cape May-Lewes Ferry (CMLF) officials are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Stowaways, a new multi-concept dining destination offering panoramic views of the Delaware Bay at the Cape May, New Jersey Ferry Terminal.

Stowaways features three main food and beverage locations within the terminal building at 1200 Lincoln Boulevard: Stowaways Bar & Restaurant, Stowaways Café, and The Overlook at Stowaways, a dedicated catering space for private events and functions.

“Stowaways offers locals and visitors an exciting opportunity to enjoy delicious food in a beautiful waterfront setting,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. “Led by a passionate and experienced culinary team, Stowaways promises a memorable dining experience—one that captures coastal flavors and the essence of Cape May. We’re confident in their vision to improve upon what has been done here and to take the customer experience to the next level.”

Stowaways Bar & Restaurant

Executive Chef and Cape May resident Amy Salcedo and her talented team at Stowaways Bar & Restaurant have meticulously crafted an extensive menu celebrating fresh, locally sourced ingredients. From shareables and handhelds to pan pizzas, soups, and salads, Stowaways offers a diverse range of flavors, including a special section with dishes from Philadelphia-based Chickie’s & Pete’s.

The restaurant’s digital QR-code menu system ensures a seamless dining experience with swift, on-demand ordering for ferry-goers and local guests. Stowaways also boasts an extensive drink menu featuring draft beers, handcrafted cocktails, and signature crushes in refreshing orange, grapefruit, and key lime flavors. Happy hour specials will be available Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The bar and restaurant’s design seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can choose between expansive outdoor dining areas or cozy indoor seating. Two large bars provide the perfect vantage point to watch the ferry glide in and out of the terminal while the sunsets paint the sky in breathtaking hues. For those seeking relaxation, Stowaways offers a spacious lawn right next to the water, perfect for catching up with friends or playing lawn games.

Throughout the season, live performances will add a touch of magic, making Stowaways a must-visit destination for anyone seeking exceptional food, scenic views, and unforgettable moments.

Stowaways Bar & Restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
