The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) has granted its third certification under the Certified Biostimulant Program to Valent BioSciences for their Transit® 500 biostimulant. This certification is part of TFI’s newly launched program, which recognizes biostimulant products that have passed rigorous evaluations of efficacy data, composition, research, safety, and testing methods by TFI and independent third-party reviewers. These evaluations ensure that products align with the United States Biostimulant Industry Guidelines.
“We are thrilled to announce that Valent BioSciences’ Transit 500 biostimulant has earned recognition as a Certified Biostimulant by TFI,” said Corey Rosenbusch, TFI President and CEO. “Biostimulants like Transit 500 have demonstrated their ability to enhance nutrient uptake, improve stress tolerance, and boost overall plant health and vigor. The Certified Biostimulant Program was created to establish a standard for these products, allowing growers and retailers to make informed decisions when selecting solutions that best fit their needs.”
Transit 500 is a liquid biostimulant designed to enhance plants’ tolerance to and recovery from abiotic stress, optimize fertilizer efficiency, and increase nutrient uptake. These benefits contribute to improved root and shoot growth. As a certified biostimulant under TFI’s program, Transit 500 will feature a distinctive label indicating its adherence to the established standards.
“Valent BioSciences is dedicated to delivering reliable and effective biostimulant solutions to our customers,” said Maria Herrero, Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for Valent BioSciences. “The Certified Biostimulant Program offers a benchmark for evaluating products, giving customers confidence that their biostimulant choices are backed by thorough research and meet the highest industry standards. We are proud to be among the first to receive certification under this program and look forward to the increased recognition and understanding of biostimulants across the industry.”
