Nescafé Fusion Empowers Food Service Providers to Create Customized Coffee Experiences

Nestlé, a leader in business-to-business and out-of-home solutions, is expanding its Nescafé Fusion line—a range of versatile coffee machines designed to offer a wide array of personalized drink options. These machines cater to diverse preferences, providing hot or cold beverages, choices between whole roasted beans or instant coffee, and options for dairy or plant-based milks.

Coffee is essential in various settings, from offices and hotels to convenience stores, schools, and healthcare institutions. These venues increasingly seek to expand their beverage selections, especially as demand for cold coffee rises among younger generations. Today’s food service providers need to offer both hot and cold options, but doing so can be a logistical challenge.

Addressing this need, Nescafé Fusion delivers a complete range of espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, and popular iced drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas. Food service providers can choose from 14 machine models tailored to different business sizes, cup capacities, counter space, and customer demands. Initially launched in 15 markets across Asia, Europe, and Latin America, Nescafé Fusion is now set to expand to 60 more countries. Developed under Nestlé’s R&D team in Orbe, Switzerland, the machines combine system expertise with advanced coffee knowledge.

“As demand for cold beverages grows, particularly among younger consumers, our food service providers must adapt by offering both hot and iced drink options,” said Reinhold Jakobi, Global Head of Nestlé Professional. “Nescafé Fusion enables customizable coffee experiences and underscores our commitment to sustainability.”

The Nescafé Fusion machines are not only easy to use but also sustainable, incorporating up to 30% recycled plastic and reducing energy use by up to 60% compared to previous models. The machines use hot water to pre-heat the brewing chamber, eliminating the need for energy-intensive heating fans.

To help providers choose the right model, the Lifecycle Assessment Tool assesses machine emissions, water use, and other impacts, with region-specific data for Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia.

Nescafé Fusion machines also feature embedded telemetry for real-time troubleshooting and adjustments, allowing Nestlé technicians to manage issues remotely and reduce service-related travel.

In line with sustainability goals, Nestlé Professional offers a “Trace My Coffee” pilot program, available in Spain and the Netherlands, soon expanding to the UK and Portugal, enabling customers to trace coffee from its origin to roasting and packaging locations.
