Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida) has announced the promotion of Karla Radtke to the role of Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Administration. The leadership move comes at a pivotal time for the company, which is transitioning into its second decade of operations, having recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Radtke’s elevation signals a continued focus on talent development, organizational growth, and strengthening company culture as Coke Florida charts its “Next 10” vision for the future.
A Proven Leader in the Coca-Cola System
Karla Radtke brings more than three decades of experience within the Coca-Cola system to her new role. She most recently served as Vice President, Chief of Staff to Coke Florida’s Chief Executive Officer, Troy Taylor. In that capacity, Radtke played a key role in supporting executive decision-making, coordinating strategic initiatives, and aligning organizational goals across departments.
Prior to joining Coke Florida in 2021, Radtke held several leadership positions within Coca-Cola North America. Notably, she served as Vice President of Category Commercial Operations, where she was responsible for driving business growth through category strategy, commercial execution, and cross-functional alignment. Her professional background also includes extensive experience in sales, marketing, commercial operations, sales operations, and supply chain management.
Radtke’s cross-functional expertise and ability to cultivate high-performing teams have been instrumental in her rise through the organization. Her broad-based leadership within Coca-Cola has allowed her to develop a nuanced understanding of the business and its people.
CEO Endorsement and Organizational Impact
“Karla brings a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams across the Coke system,” said Troy Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Coke Florida. “As we recently celebrated our 10-year anniversary and begin our ‘Next 10’ focus, she will be a key leader in identifying, training, and promoting talent across our business.”
Taylor emphasized that Radtke’s promotion is aligned with the company’s evolving strategic priorities. As the organization advances into its next phase of growth, human capital development and organizational effectiveness are expected to play an even greater role. Radtke will be tasked with not only sustaining but elevating Coke Florida’s workplace culture and operational agility in an increasingly competitive beverage landscape.
A Passion for People and Development
Reflecting on her appointment, Radtke shared her enthusiasm for the role and the opportunity to contribute to Coke Florida’s people-centric mission.
“As we continue on our journey to becoming the best performing consumer packaged goods company in Florida, I am thrilled to share my passion for people and talent development across Coke Florida,” Radtke said. “I look forward to working alongside our team to help us reach our full potential.”
Her statement underscores a leadership philosophy rooted in collaboration, empowerment, and intentional growth. Radtke has long been a champion of mentoring, leadership development, and cultivating inclusive environments. In her new role, she will oversee all facets of human resources and administrative operations, ensuring the company remains agile, engaged, and future-ready.

Honoring a Legacy: David Cross to Retire
The announcement of Radtke’s promotion coincides with the retirement of David Cross, Coke Florida’s inaugural leader of Human Resources and Administration. Cross, a seasoned HR professional and respected leader within the Coca-Cola system, is stepping down after a distinguished 18-year career, 10 of which he spent with Coke Florida.
Cross joined Coke Florida at its inception and has played a critical role in shaping the organization’s people strategy and operational foundation. His leadership was instrumental in building a resilient HR function capable of supporting the company’s rapid growth over the last decade.
“I want to thank David for the tremendous contributions he has made to Coke Florida over the years,” said Taylor. “He has been with us since day one, and he will always be a part of the Coke Florida family.”
Under Cross’s guidance, Coke Florida established many of the HR frameworks, employee engagement programs, and talent acquisition strategies that continue to define the company’s workforce today. His retirement marks the end of an era, but also a seamless transition to new leadership committed to advancing the company’s mission.
Coke Florida’s Continued Commitment to People
The leadership transition comes as Coke Florida reinforces its commitment to becoming one of the most admired employers in the state. As a family-owned independent Coca-Cola bottler, the company places a strong emphasis on local leadership, community engagement, and inclusive workplace practices.
With operations spanning over 47 counties and serving more than 21 million consumers across Florida, Coke Florida remains one of the largest Black-owned businesses in the United States. The company has received national recognition for its performance, innovation, and impact on diversity and inclusion.
Radtke’s appointment reflects Coke Florida’s dedication to promoting talent from within and recognizing leaders who embody the company’s values. As the organization prepares for its next chapter, strategic human resource management and employee empowerment are expected to play a central role in maintaining momentum and fostering long-term success.
