Bayer’s Consumer Health Division Shuffles North America Leadership

Bayer has announced Samantha Avivi as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the Consumer Health division in North America. Avivi, with over 25 years of experience at esteemed companies like P&G, Kimberly Clark, and Walmart, brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. She will directly report to Dave Tomasi, President of Consumer Health, North America.

Avivi’s appointment follows the retirement of Jeff Jarrett, whom Tomasi thanked for his dedication and contributions to Bayer. Jarrett’s legacy includes driving innovation, fostering marketing excellence, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the company.

Tomasi expressed enthusiasm about Avivi joining Team Bayer, emphasizing her proven track record in setting visionary goals, driving growth, and nurturing talent. Avivi’s most recent role as Chief Marketing Officer at Advance Auto Parts showcased her ability to craft and execute omnichannel strategies successfully.

In her new position, Avivi aims to leverage her passion for consumer-led, purpose-driven branding across Bayer’s Consumer Health portfolio. This portfolio includes well-known brands such as Claritin, Aspirin, and Midol, which Avivi looks forward to working with.

Before her tenure at Advance Auto Parts, Avivi served as the CMO at Tenneco, where she oversaw a diverse portfolio spanning multiple countries and product lines. A graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Avivi brings a combination of academic knowledge and real-world experience to her role at Bayer.
