Church & Dwight Announces Leadership Change New CEO Appointed

The Board of Directors of Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (NYSE: CHD) has announced that, following a unanimous vote, Richard Dierker, a seasoned leader with 15 years at the company, will ascend to the role of President and CEO, effective March 31, 2025. He will also join the Board of Directors. Until then, current CEO Matthew Farrell will remain in his position and continue as Chairman of the Board during the transition.

Ravi Saligram, Lead Director of the Board, praised Farrell for his people-centered leadership and integrity. Under his guidance, the company’s market cap more than doubled to surpass $25 billion, powered by forward-thinking acquisitions and innovative brand strategies. “Matt has woven a lasting influence into the fabric of Church & Dwight, and we are deeply appreciative of his remarkable achievements,” Saligram said.

Saligram also expressed confidence in Dierker’s upcoming leadership. Having worked alongside Farrell for the past decade as CFO and Head of Operations, Dierker has been instrumental in shaping the company’s strategy and driving its operational success. “Rick has a gift for identifying core challenges and transforming ideas into action. His steady hand and deep rapport with both colleagues and investors make him the ideal person to steer Church & Dwight’s next chapter,” Saligram added.

Reflecting on the leadership transition, Farrell stated, “Rick and I have worked closely for 15 years, and I know he is uniquely equipped to lead the company forward.
