Conagra Brands has proudly unveiled its 2023 Citizenship Report, showcasing its commitment to key areas including Good Food, Responsible Sourcing, Better Planet, and Stronger Communities. This comprehensive report highlights the company’s significant strides in environmental and social initiatives, reaffirming Conagra’s role as a frontrunner in the food industry.

Key highlights from the Fiscal Year 2023 Citizenship Report include:

  • Approximately 70% of Conagra’s meatless options, such as those from Healthy Choice®, Evol®, and Gardein®, received high ratings of A or B by Nutri-Score, a globally recognized metric assessing the nutrition of vegan and vegetarian products.
  • Advancements in regenerative agriculture within supply chains, including the use of winter cover crops for 100% of popcorn seeds to prevent soil erosion and conserve moisture, and the implementation of drip irrigation on 98% of tomato fields in California, reducing water usage significantly.
  • Collaboration with suppliers to transport raw tomatoes to the Oakdale, California production facility via Renewable Natural Gas trucks, resulting in the avoidance of over 18,000 metric tons of CO² emissions during the 2023 fresh pack season.
  • 85% of solid waste generated at Conagra’s production facilities diverted to more beneficial uses through recycling, product donations, use as animal feed, or land applications to improve soil quality.
  • Donation of over 30,000,000 pounds of food to Feeding America and its network of food banks, equivalent to more than 25,000,000 meals, alongside employees volunteering over 11,000 hours at 190 nonprofit agencies.
  • Engagement of thousands of employees through Conagra’s eight Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), hosting over 100 events to support personal growth, professional development, and community impact.
