DoorDash Partners with Michaels, Expanding into Arts and Crafts Retail

DoorDash, a leading local commerce platform, has announced a new partnership with Michaels, a premier destination for creative supplies. This collaboration will provide consumers with on-demand delivery of crafting materials, DIY essentials, home décor, and more from over 1,200 Michaels stores nationwide. This marks DoorDash’s first venture into the arts and crafts retail sector, allowing customers to easily access same-day delivery for their creative needs.

“We’re excited to welcome Michaels as our first arts and crafts partner, offering a wide range of supplies and home décor items,” said Fuad Hannon, VP of New Verticals at DoorDash. “From back-to-school art essentials to cake decorating kits, customers can now get their must-have products from Michaels delivered in under an hour via DoorDash.”

The partnership expands DoorDash’s offerings to include a broad selection of arts and crafts supplies, home décor, and party planning essentials. With nearly 2 million retail products available for on-demand delivery across DoorDash’s Marketplace and Platform Services, this collaboration ensures that customers can find everything they need for their creative projects at the same prices as in-store.

“Convenience, choice, and flexibility are crucial for a top-notch omnichannel experience,” said Heather Bennett, Executive Vice President of Marketing and ECommerce at Michaels. “Our partnership with DoorDash enhances our same-day delivery options, making our products available wherever and however our customers prefer to shop, while also reaching new audiences.”

To celebrate this new partnership, customers can enjoy 30% off all eligible orders of $30 or more (up to $15) with the promo code MICHAELS30 at participating Michaels locations until August 6, 2024.

Michaels stores are also now available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program that offers members a $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees on eligible orders from various restaurants, grocery, and convenience stores nationwide. Since launching its retail category in 2020, DoorDash has connected consumers with the best of their neighborhoods while providing businesses with the tools and technology to reach both new and loyal customers. Today, DoorDash boasts more retail stores than any other marketplace in North America, with over 150,000 non-restaurant stores across its Marketplace and Platform Services globally.
