Duravant, a global leader in engineered equipment and automation solutions for the food processing, packaging, and material handling sectors, has announced its acquisition of T-TEK Material Handling LLC. Based in Montgomery, Alabama, T-TEK is renowned for its high-speed packaging machinery and systems solutions. The company specializes in designing, building, and servicing advanced end-of-line equipment, including palletizers, depalletizers, conveyors, and custom automated lines for major producers in the packaged food, beverage, and consumer products industries. T-TEK is celebrated for its deep technical expertise in palletizing applications and is a leading provider of turnkey systems, as well as equipment rebuilds and upgrades for existing machinery brands.
“We’re thrilled to welcome T-TEK to the Duravant family,” said Mike Kachmer, Chairman and CEO of Duravant. “T-TEK has a remarkable track record of building strong customer relationships through a unique service delivery model. Their technical sales and consultation process is integral to their enduring partnerships with brand owners, facility operators, engineering firms, and integrators.”
T-TEK’s approach focuses on understanding customers’ production goals and creating tailored line plans that integrate existing assets with new technologies for optimal investment returns. Known for its innovation and quality in high-speed production environments, T-TEK also excels in providing customized solutions for challenging, non-standard packages that are fragile and difficult to palletize.
The acquisition of T-TEK strategically enhances Duravant’s presence in the expanding packaged food and beverage sector. T-TEK’s offerings complement Duravant’s existing product lineup, including its nVenia, Mespack, and Wulftec brands within the packaging segment.
“T-TEK’s technology and equipment perfectly align with the palletizing solutions provided by nVenia,” stated David Malinas, Chief Operating Officer of Duravant. “With this acquisition, we now offer a comprehensive solution set for all palletizing applications. Additionally, Wulftec’s premier stretch wrapping and strapping technologies provide a complete range of end-of-line packaging solutions.”
Michael Traff, President of T-TEK, expressed enthusiasm about the merger: “We are excited to join forces with Duravant and collaborate with their family of Operating Companies. Duravant’s established infrastructure and extensive aftermarket network through Duravant Lifecycle Services will support our growth with new customers and enable us to invest in resources and technologies to better serve our current client base.”
