Fresh Del Monte, one of the world’s leading vertically integrated producers and distributors of high-quality fresh and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, has announced the appointment of Danny Dumas as Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Product Management for North America. Dumas, with over 35 years of experience in the industry, will be responsible for leading key areas such as sales, marketing, product management, technical services, and quality assurance for port operations in North America, a highly competitive market for the company.
In this role, Dumas will contribute to Fresh Del Monte’s continued growth and innovation within the region, leveraging the company’s extensive network of distribution centers, production facilities, and retail partnerships. His appointment signals Fresh Del Monte’s ongoing commitment to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and innovation across its North American operations.
Dumas’s career has spanned multiple senior leadership roles, including serving as Senior Vice President at Calavo Growers. During his earlier tenure at Fresh Del Monte, he spearheaded major business initiatives across both North America and Europe, gaining valuable insight into the company’s operations and market strategies.

Dumas’s recent achievements highlight his strategic leadership, including launching a new business venture, improving the administrative efficiency of a private company, and serving as Chair of United Fresh. He also played a significant role in the merger of United Fresh with the Produce Marketing Association (PMA), resulting in the creation of the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), now the foremost global trade association in the fresh produce industry.
