GreenGasUSA and Wayne-Sanderson Farms Boost Biogas, Cut Methane

GreenGasUSA and Wayne-Sanderson Farms have announced a collaboration to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) across multiple Wayne-Sanderson Farms facilities in the U.S. By utilizing existing wastewater treatment and biogas infrastructure, the partnership aims to deliver pipeline-quality RNG to the market. Additionally, the companies plan to explore and develop new RNG facilities at other poultry processing sites within the Wayne-Sanderson Farms portfolio, focusing on locations with the highest potential for methane emission reductions and those capable of hosting a liquid CO2 recovery system.

“Wayne-Sanderson Farms has already established itself as a leader in reducing waste and promoting circularity within their operations,” said Marc Fetten, CEO and Founder of GreenGasUSA. “By combining the innovative practices at Wayne-Sanderson facilities with GreenGasUSA’s expertise in RNG, we will maximize RNG production and enhance on-site environmental benefits, including a further reduction in Scope 1 emissions from Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ carbon footprint. We are proud to support them in achieving their climate goals.”

Paul Billingsley, Vice President of Development and Engineering at Wayne-Sanderson Farms, added, “We understand that real progress on environmental issues requires collaboration. We are thrilled to lead the way in renewable energy innovation with GreenGasUSA. This partnership highlights our strong commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and our dedication to a more sustainable future.”
