IFF (NYSE: IFF) has announced that Glenn Richter, the company’s Chief Financial and Business Transformation Officer, will be retiring on December 31, 2024, following a successful three-year tenure. A succession plan is underway to identify potential candidates, both internally and externally, to take over Richter’s role as CFO.
Erik Fyrwald, CEO of IFF, commended Richter for his significant contributions during his time with the company, stating, “Glenn has been instrumental in driving various initiatives aimed at enhancing our financial standing and positioning IFF for sustained success. His leadership has been invaluable in areas such as portfolio optimization, strategic development, and advancing our shared services agenda, all of which have primed IFF for long-term profitable growth in the market.”
Richter’s association with IFF dates back to 2021 when he assumed the responsibility of overseeing global finance operations. Prior to joining IFF, Richter held key positions at TIAA, including CFO, and served as Chief Operating Officer of Nuveen Investments before its acquisition by TIAA. His extensive leadership experience spans roles at Sears Roebuck, Dade Behring, and PepsiCo, with his career commencing as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company.
In reflecting on Richter’s tenure, Fyrwald expressed gratitude for Richter’s contributions and leadership within the finance function. He acknowledged Richter’s pivotal role in facilitating a smooth transition by actively participating in the process of identifying his successor.
