In 2023, Ahold Delhaize and Its Local Brands Donated €240 Million to Support Communities

Today, Ahold Delhaize has unveiled its fourth-quarter and full-year results for 2023. Alongside reflecting on the significant strategic and operational advancements achieved, the company is pleased to highlight the remarkable community endeavors carried out by its diverse local brands throughout the year. These brands collectively contributed over €240 million in charitable cash, product, and food donations to support local and regional food banks, as well as non-profit organizations.

Muller emphasized that Ahold Delhaize’s responsibility extends beyond commercial activities, aiming to address broader societal challenges and cultivate an environment where associates can thrive. He also commended customers for their contributions to the brands’ in-store collection initiatives, recognizing the substantial impact of their generosity.

The GIANT Company donated almost $4 million to hunger relief programs and invested $500,000 in 20 local non-profits as part of its “Make a Difference Challenge” to mark its 100th anniversary.
