Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global leader in technology research and advisory services, has announced the launch of a new research study focused on technology solutions providers serving the agribusiness and chemicals sectors. The study will result in two comprehensive ISG Provider Lens™ reports—one covering the U.S. market and the other Brazil. The reports, titled Agribusiness and Chemicals Services and Solutions 2025, are set for release in April 2025. These reports will evaluate providers offering services in consulting, implementation and integration, supply chain and logistics, sustainability and innovation, as well as digital IT/OT services.
The study will assess how providers are leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI, ERP, IoT, advanced networks, blockchain, analytics, and automation, while emphasizing cybersecurity and data orchestration to enhance agribusiness and chemicals value chains.
Enterprise buyers can use the study’s findings to evaluate their current vendor relationships, explore new engagement opportunities, and assess available offerings. ISG advisors will also use the data to recommend service providers to their buy-side clients.
Despite challenges posed by the global economy, including a production decline among U.S. chemicals producers in 2023, the agribusiness and chemicals industries are expected to experience growth. The chemicals sector is projected to see 2.2% annual growth in 2024 and 1.9% in 2025, while agriculture has averaged 12% annual growth over the past two decades in key markets such as Brazil, where agriculture accounts for 30% of the GDP.
According to Iain Fisher, Director of ISG Provider Lens Research, “Agribusiness, especially in markets like Brazil, requires more technology across the value chain, including IT/OT integration, field sensors, and multifrequency networks. Meanwhile, about half of the chemicals industry had already initiated digital transformation programs by the end of 2022, with more than 60% reporting positive results. AI will play a crucial role in both industries by optimizing value chains.”
ISG has surveyed over 80 providers in the agribusiness and chemicals sectors. Collaborating with ISG’s global advisors, the research team will present findings in seven key quadrants, based on the services enterprises typically procure. These include:

- Digital IT/OT Services – Chemicals: Providers specializing in automation, AI, cloud services, asset management, IT/OT integration, and ERP solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity in chemical companies.
- Supply Chain and Logistics – Agribusiness: Providers focusing on supply chain management services to address agribusiness-specific challenges and enhance operational resilience, agility, and sustainability.
- Supply Chain and Logistics – Chemicals: Providers offering solutions for procurement, warehousing, inventory, and logistics, helping chemical producers maintain resilient, connected, and data-driven supply chains.
- Sustainability and Innovation – Agribusiness: Providers supporting sustainable practices in agribusiness through consulting, solutions implementation, and environmental impact reduction.
- Sustainability and Innovation – Chemicals: Providers helping chemical companies address sustainability challenges while supporting innovation, net-zero transitions, and competitive advantages.
- Strategy and Enablers – Agribusiness: Providers offering process and technology consulting to support agribusiness strategy, governance, and growth opportunities.
The study will provide geographically specific insights on the agribusiness and chemicals markets in the U.S. and Brazil, with ISG analysts Mohdaves Malik (U.S.) and Sidney Mobre (Brazil) serving as lead authors.
