Papa John’s International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZA) has announced the appointment of Kevin Vasconi as Chief Digital and Technology Officer, effective immediately. With a wealth of experience in enterprise technology, Vasconi most recently served as Chief Information Officer at The Wendy’s Company, where he spearheaded a transformation that tripled the brand’s ecommerce business over three years. His consumer-centric approach utilized technology to enhance customer loyalty at Wendy’s.
In his new role, Vasconi will oversee the strategic direction of Papa Johns’ digital and technology operations, encompassing customer-facing, restaurant, and corporate technology. His responsibilities will include managing enterprise architecture, data analytics, information security, and scalable technology solutions for the global franchise system. Collaborating closely with the marketing and operations teams, Vasconi will drive innovation to deliver high-quality customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Before joining Papa Johns, Vasconi spent eight years as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Domino’s, where he contributed to the growth of its ecommerce businesses. His 35-year career in technology also includes roles at Ford Motor Company, Covisint LLC, Polk, and Stanley Black & Decker.

Vasconi will report directly to CEO Todd Penegor and join the Papa Johns Executive Leadership Team. Additionally, two current executives will assume expanded roles: Ravi Thanawala, Chief Financial Officer, will also oversee the company’s international business, and Joe Sieve has been promoted to Chief Restaurant and Global Development Officer, responsible for global development and restaurant operations.
