Straus Family Creamery, renowned for its premium organic dairy products and commitment to sustainable farming, has announced a significant new equity investment from Grounded Capital, a San Francisco-based firm dedicated to fostering healthy social, ecological, and financial systems. This infusion of capital will fuel the expansion of Straus Family Creamery’s operations, reinforcing its mission to support family farms, revitalize rural communities, and promote a regenerative food system.
The collaboration between Straus Family Creamery and Grounded Capital has also facilitated a seamless leadership transition. In January 2024, Mike Scheu was appointed President, succeeding Bob McGee, who retired after 13 years with the company. Albert Straus continues to serve as Executive Chairman. With this new investment, Grounded Capital’s CEO Stephen Hohenrieder and Principal William Culler-Chase will join Straus Family Creamery’s Board of Directors.
