This declaration represents a pivotal commitment to transforming the global dairy sector, prioritizing coordinated climate action and sustainable farming practices to safeguard environmental health, global food security, and rural livelihoods.

A pioneer in sustainability, Straus Family Creamery is dedicated to achieving a carbon-neutral organic milk supply by 2030, partnering with its dairy network to reach this ambitious goal. The company’s initiatives include methane-reducing feed supplements like red seaweed, methane digesters converting manure to renewable energy, and regenerative practices such as rotational grazing and compost application, which help sequester carbon in soils. A financial incentive program supports its partner organic dairy farms in their journey to carbon neutrality. Additionally, Straus Family Creamery leads in environmental stewardship as the world’s first creamery with TRUE Zero-Waste certification and plans to install a 100% electric heat pump refrigeration system at an industrial level in 2025.
