BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, together with the Tractor Supply Company Foundation, has announced a significant expansion of its support for the nation’s military service members, veterans, and first responders through an additional $1 million in charitable donations. This follows an earlier $1 million contribution in June 2024, marking the continued growth of the Company’s Hometown Heroes initiative, which unifies Tractor Supply’s philanthropic and volunteer efforts in support of those who serve their country and communities.
Launched in 2023, the Hometown Heroes initiative underscores Tractor Supply’s ongoing dedication to uplifting the brave individuals who selflessly protect and serve. Now in its second year, the initiative continues to gain momentum and recognition—not only for its financial contributions but also for its volunteer engagement and commitment to creating lasting, positive impact.
Largest Volunteer Event in Tractor Supply’s History
To kick off the second year of the initiative, Tractor Supply hosted a Back-to-School Brigade® event in partnership with Operation Homefront, a nonprofit that provides critical support to military families. Held at the Company’s Store Support Center (SSC), the event was a milestone for the organization: more than 250 Tractor Supply Team Members, along with soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) stationed at Fort Campbell, and youth representatives from 4-H and FFA, came together to pack 500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies. These backpacks will be distributed to children of military families, helping to ease the financial burden of back-to-school season.
This monumental gathering became the largest volunteer event in Tractor Supply’s history, symbolizing a deep-rooted culture of service that extends far beyond the workplace.
“At Tractor Supply, support for our military service members, veterans, military families and first responders is entrenched in our culture and values,” said Colin Yankee, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Tractor Supply and a former U.S. Army Captain. “Many of our Team Members and customers have served our country or communities, and we’re proud to stand with them. From charitable giving to hands-on volunteerism, we’re committed to showing appreciation for our Hometown Heroes in meaningful ways.”
A $1 Million Investment in Mission-Driven Nonprofits
As part of its 2025 commitment, Tractor Supply and the Tractor Supply Company Foundation will distribute $100,000 to each of 10 nonprofit organizations working to uplift military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families. The selected organizations for this year’s donation include:
- 9/11 Day: This nonprofit inspires Americans to turn September 11 into a day of national service, charitable giving, and acts of kindness. Tractor Supply will also organize a 9/11 Day of Service in 2025, where Team Members, including its Veterans Team Member Engagement Group, will volunteer to pack meals for Americans facing food insecurity.
- Bob Woodruff Foundation: The Foundation provides resources to ensure post-service success for veterans, service members, and their families. The Hometown Heroes donation supports a wide range of programs spanning mental health, housing, career transitions, and public education.
- Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC): In collaboration with FVC for over seven years, Tractor Supply has empowered hundreds of veterans transitioning to agriculture. The funding provides microgrants and gift cards for farming supplies and training—enabling veterans from all branches to start and grow their agricultural businesses.

- Folds of Honor: This organization grants educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled military personnel and first responders. Tractor Supply’s contribution furthers its mission of supporting these families through higher education opportunities.
- K9s For Warriors: Dedicated to ending veteran suicide, this nonprofit provides service dogs—many of them rescues—to veterans living with PTSD and other service-related traumas. Tractor Supply is sponsoring three dogs: Scarlett, named for former CEO Joe Scarlett; Murphy, honoring a heroic veteran; and Rex (Rx), representing Allivet by Tractor Supply.
- National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation (NLEOMF): This foundation honors fallen officers and works to improve safety for those currently serving. As part of its partnership, Colin Yankee participated in the 2025 Candlelight Vigil in Washington, D.C., reading aloud the names of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
- National Police Dog Foundation: This group funds the purchase, training, and medical care of law enforcement K-9s. In honor of National First Responders Day (October 28), Tractor Supply stores nationwide host police dogs and their handlers for engaging demonstrations.
- National Volunteer Fire Council: Serving volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel, the Council provides vital resources and advocacy. Thousands of Tractor Supply Team Members are volunteer firefighters themselves, balancing service with their professional roles.
- Operation Homefront: A key recipient of this year’s donation, the organization provides emergency financial assistance and long-term stability programs for military families. Tractor Supply’s collaboration strengthens ongoing efforts to ease the burdens on military households.
- Team Rubicon: This veteran-led disaster relief organization serves communities before, during, and after emergencies. Tractor Supply first supported Team Rubicon’s efforts during Hurricane Helene recovery in 2024 and continues to invest in their vital mission.
