Bayer Crop Science Names Kacy Perry Country Division Head for Canada
The Crop Science division of Bayer has announced the appointment of Kacy Perry as the new Country Division Head (CDH) for Crop Science Canada, effective July 1. In her new leadership role, Perry will oversee Bayer’s Crop Science operations across Canada, guiding a workforce of more than 550 employees located at multiple sites nationwide. She will also join Bayer’s North American Leadership Team for Crop Science, where she will contribute to shaping strategic priorities and driving growth across the region.
Perry’s appointment reflects Bayer’s continued commitment to strengthening its leadership team and advancing innovation in Canadian agriculture. With extensive experience across multiple areas of Bayer’s Crop Science business, she brings a deep understanding of the company’s operations, customer needs, and long-term vision for sustainable farming.
Having spent her entire professional career with Bayer, Perry has developed a strong track record of leadership and business success. Throughout her tenure, she has held a variety of roles spanning marketing, sales, product management, and portfolio leadership. Most recently, she has served as the North America Soybean Business Lead, where she played a key role in shaping strategy and supporting growth within one of Bayer’s most important crop segments.
Over the years, Perry has gained valuable experience managing large-scale agricultural portfolios and leading cross-functional teams. Among her notable achievements was her leadership of Bayer’s U.S. corn portfolio, where she helped drive market development and product adoption. She also served as Brand Strategy Lead for the company’s Channel Seed business, overseeing the evolution and implementation of the Channel Seed Professional Strategy in the United States. This initiative was designed to strengthen customer engagement, enhance market positioning, and deliver greater value to growers through tailored seed solutions.
As she prepares to take on her new responsibilities in Canada, Perry expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead and highlighted the important role Canada plays within Bayer’s global agricultural network.
“I am excited to build on the momentum already underway and further strengthen our impact with Canadian farmers,” Perry said. “Canada is increasingly recognized—both within Bayer and across the agriculture industry—as an innovation leader in seed and trait, crop protection, and digital farming. I look forward to working with the team to advance sustainable products and farming solutions that help growers succeed and drive profitable outcomes.”
Her comments underscore Bayer’s focus on helping producers navigate an increasingly complex agricultural environment. Canadian farmers face growing challenges related to climate variability, pest and disease pressures, evolving consumer expectations, and the need to increase productivity while reducing environmental impact. Bayer has positioned itself as a key partner in addressing these challenges through investments in seed genetics, crop protection technologies, biological solutions, and digital agriculture tools.
Under Perry’s leadership, Bayer Crop Science Canada is expected to continue advancing initiatives that support sustainable agricultural production while enhancing profitability for growers. The company has been actively developing and introducing innovations designed to improve crop performance, optimize resource use, and strengthen resilience across farming systems.

Perry succeeds Antoine Bernet, who has served as Country Division Head for Crop Science Canada and will be returning to his home country of France. During his tenure, Bernet played a significant role in strengthening Bayer’s presence in Canada and advancing the company’s sustainability agenda.
Bernet’s leadership helped elevate Bayer’s efforts to promote innovative and sustainable farming practices across the Canadian agricultural sector. He worked closely with industry stakeholders, growers, and government partners to support initiatives aimed at improving productivity while advancing environmental stewardship.
One of the most notable accomplishments during Bernet’s time in Canada was the successful implementation of Bayer’s Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) model. The DSO framework represents an innovative corporate governance approach designed to give employees a greater voice in company decision-making and foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility. The Canadian organization became one of the first within Bayer to adopt the model, marking an important milestone in the company’s global transformation efforts.
In addition to driving organizational change, Bernet was widely recognized as a passionate advocate for agriculture. Throughout more than two decades with Bayer, he consistently championed innovation and worked to strengthen relationships across the agricultural value chain. His support for Canadian agriculture was evident in his efforts to highlight the country’s role as a global leader in agricultural innovation and production.
Colleagues and industry partners have credited Bernet with helping create a strong foundation for future growth, positioning Bayer Canada to continue delivering value to farmers through science-based solutions and strategic investments.
The leadership transition comes at a pivotal time for the agricultural industry. Rapid advancements in plant breeding technologies, digital agriculture, data-driven farm management, and sustainability initiatives are reshaping how crops are grown and managed. Companies such as Bayer are increasingly focused on helping producers adopt innovations that improve efficiency while supporting long-term environmental goals.
Canada remains a critical market for Bayer’s Crop Science division due to its strong agricultural sector, world-class research capabilities, and leadership in crop production. The country is recognized globally for its expertise in areas such as canola, cereals, soybeans, and pulse crops, making it an important hub for agricultural innovation and technology adoption.
With Perry’s extensive experience, strategic leadership background, and deep understanding of Bayer’s business, the company is positioning itself to build upon recent successes and further strengthen its support for Canadian growers. Her appointment signals Bayer’s confidence in the future of Canadian agriculture and its commitment to delivering innovative solutions that help farmers meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving industry.
As Bayer enters this new chapter under Perry’s leadership, the company remains focused on empowering growers, advancing sustainability, and driving innovation across the Canadian agricultural landscape.
