Elevated levels of sodium may lead to increased water consumption, reduced feed efficiency, egg production, and growth rate, which could be fatal for chickens. Similarly, heightened levels of calcium and/or phosphorus might cause reduced feed intake and feed conversion in swine. In rabbits, elevated levels of magnesium and sodium can result in loose stools, reduced growth rate, and weakness.
Four customer complaints have been reported concerning the consumption of ShowTec BB 18 BMD, three regarding low consumption, and one reporting an animal’s refusal to eat accompanied by belly pain. Additionally, three customers have complained of low consumption related to Pen Pals Professional Rabbit 18, and one customer reported low consumption associated with MoorMan’s ShowTec Sale Burst w/DF CTC/DEN.
