The newly appointed executives are Andrew Johnston as Vice President of Industrials, Derek Spillane as Vice President of IT, Frenchie Audette as Vice President of Food Service, and Lee DeVasier as Vice President of Transportation and Supply Chain. Each brings extensive expertise in their respective fields, further strengthening Divert’s capacity to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.

A Strategic Step Toward Growth

Andrew Johnston and Frenchie Audette will focus on strategy and revenue growth, serving the company’s industrial and food service clients. Johnston, with over 15 years of experience, has played a pivotal role in scaling organizations and driving business development. Most notably, he led the commercialization of the Trenton Renewables food waste anaerobic digestion facility.

“Eliminating wasted food is one of the most impactful actions we can take to reduce emissions while generating economic and societal benefits,” Johnston said. “I’m excited to join Divert to create innovative solutions for our industrial customers and ensure no food goes to waste, even in the most complex environments.”

Johnston holds advanced degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dartmouth College, positioning him as a strong leader to spearhead Divert’s efforts in industrial partnerships.

Frenchie Audette, a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in the food service industry, will focus on forging impactful partnerships and strategies tailored to the needs of restaurant operators. Having held leadership roles at Local Kitchens, Square, Inc., and as a former restaurant owner, Audette brings a unique blend of industry expertise and a commitment to sustainability.

Strengthening IT and Logistics Operations

Derek Spillane, who joins as Vice President of IT, brings over 26 years of experience in IT leadership and enterprise solutions. Spillane’s expertise lies in optimizing operations, enhancing data security, and fostering innovation. In his previous role at Surgalign, Spillane successfully led global enterprise applications and IT operations, delivering scalable and transformative solutions.

“I’m excited to collaborate across departments at Divert to drive growth and success through enterprise IT systems,” Spillane stated. “My goal is to implement innovative technologies that deliver meaningful business value and operational excellence.”

Spillane holds a Master of Business Administration from the National University of Ireland and a Bachelor of International Commerce from University College Galway.

Lee DeVasier, the new Vice President of Transportation and Supply Chain, brings nearly three decades of experience in logistics and supply chain management. At Pitney Bowes, DeVasier was instrumental in optimizing transportation networks, reducing costs, and improving service performance. Prior to that, he spent 28 years at UPS, leading initiatives for the company’s largest clients.

“Divert is addressing a critical gap in managing unsold food products, and I’m proud to join this mission,” DeVasier said. “I look forward to leveraging my expertise in logistics and process optimization to help Divert scale effectively.”

DeVasier holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.
