Arable, a leading innovator in climate-smart agriculture, has been named in the 2024 THRIVE Top 50 AgTech and FoodTech Companies report, marking its third consecutive year on this prestigious list. Compiled annually by SVG Ventures, the THRIVE report highlights companies that are driving innovation and technological progress in agriculture and food production.
“We’re honored to be included in the THRIVE Top 50 AgTech list, but the true credit goes to our customers,” said Jim Ethington, CEO of Arable. “They face growing challenges with fewer resources every day, and our role is to provide them with trusted tools that help them make informed decisions, reduce risks, and do more with less. It’s about delivering real results in the field and advancing sustainability across the agricultural system.”
Arable’s crop intelligence platform, powered by advanced in-field sensing technology, uses cutting-edge agronomic modeling and machine learning to turn data on weather, plant health, soil, and irrigation into actionable insights. This enables users to optimize water usage, inputs, labor, and overall land and water stewardship.
Arable’s recognition on the 2024 THRIVE Top 50 list follows a year of major milestones and partnerships. Most notably, Arable collaborated with Google to launch a groundbreaking water conservation solution aimed at revolutionizing irrigation practices in Nebraska. The project equips farmers with Arable’s technology to improve irrigation precision, supporting Google’s water replenishment goals. Additionally, Arable was featured on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies and named one of the top sustainability-focused companies by TIME magazine.
“The agriculture sector faces unprecedented challenges, particularly around water scarcity due to climate change,” said John Hartnett, CEO of SVG Ventures | THRIVE. “Arable’s innovative approach to water management and crop intelligence is exactly the type of transformative solution needed to build a more resilient and sustainable food system.”
The THRIVE Top 50 Companies are selected based on leadership, innovation, and market impact.
