Aramark Sports + Entertainment Heats Up for National Burger Month

May heralds the arrival of Burger Month, launching the peak season for grilling and barbecuing festivities. But the burger fever extends far beyond local picnics and backyard gatherings. Aramark Sports + Entertainment, renowned for its culinary prowess across MLB ballparks, boasts a lineup of burgers tailored to suit every taste bud. From award-winning classics to innovative twists, Aramark’s culinary team is firing up the grills all season long, eager to showcase three exceptional flavors.

Here’s a sneak peek at some of the featured burgers:

Citi Field Citi Field, acclaimed for clinching USA Today’s “Best Stadium Food” title and winning the 2023 NYC Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash, is back with a culinary home run: the Mets Championship Burger. Crafted for the 2024 season, this mouthwatering masterpiece features a dry-aged beef patty crowned with Maine lobster salad and lobster fondue. Senior Executive Chef Jason Eksterowicz recently showcased the Mets Championship Burger on MLB Network’s “MLB Central,” earning rave reviews from delighted hosts.

“The burger has been a hit with fans,” Eksterowicz shared. “It embodies our culinary philosophy at Citi Field, where we continually reimagine fan favorites to elevate the dining experience.”

Citizens Bank Park Returning with a revamped version for the 2024 baseball season is Kyle Schwarber’s Schwarburger, initially introduced during the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2023 post-season run. Executive Chef Iovonnie (Vonnie) Negron at Citizens Bank Park reveals the Schwarburger 2.0, curated based on Schwarber’s personal preferences. Topped with American cheese, pepper bacon, fried egg, crispy onions, and signature sauce, this burger graces the regular game day menu, with a portion of proceeds donated to Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes foundation, supporting first responder families.

Coors Field In a bid to cater to diverse fan preferences and uphold its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Aramark Sports + Entertainment launched a new plant-based concept at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies.

Better-Off Burgers offer a premium, plant-based alternative to traditional meat burgers. The vegan lineup features:

  • The Original: A plant-based burger adorned with “burger sauce,” pickles, and vegan cheddar cheese, with optional add-ons like roasted mushrooms, onions, and avocado.
  • Chorizo Burger: A plant-based delight boasting “chorizo,” vegan smoked gouda, roasted peppers, bibb lettuce, and chipotle aioli.
  • Medi Burger: A plant-based treat featuring za’atar, carrot sumac slaw, harissa mayo, olive tapenade, and bibb lettuce.

These Better-Off Burgers redefine ballpark fare, promising a satisfying culinary experience while championing sustainability initiatives.
