The premium coffee company focused on mission-driven growth and enhancing shareholder value through innovative brand strategies, Black Rifle Coffee Company, has announced the appointment of Major General Clayton Hutmacher and Lawrence “Chip” Molloy to its Board of Directors, effective June 7, 2024.
Chris Mondzelewski, CEO of BRCC, expressed, “We are pleased to welcome Clay and Chip as new independent directors to the Black Rifle Coffee Company Board. We are unique as a company in that our service-forward mission drives our ever-expanding relationship with customers across existing and new sales channels, and – with these additions – we’ll have an even broader and more diverse cache of experience from which to gain.”
Major General Clay Hutmacher currently serves as the President and CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to funding the education of children of special operations personnel who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty. With extensive experience in the U.S. Special Operations community, Clay held various leadership roles, culminating as the Director of Operations of the United States Special Operations Command before retiring as a Major General. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in aerospace management and national security and strategic studies, respectively.
Lawrence “Chip” Molloy brings significant financial and retail expertise to the Black Rifle Board, having served as CFO of several public consumer companies. Chip was most recently CFO of Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. and has held executive positions at Under Armour and PetSmart. Prior to his business career, Chip served as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot for 10 years. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the US Naval Academy.
Together, Clay and Chip’s diverse backgrounds and experiences are expected to provide invaluable perspective to support BRCC as it continues to execute its strategy, create long-term shareholder value, and serve the military community.
