Bunge Volunteers Unite ‘Hand in Hand’ to Strengthen Global Food Security on World Food Day 2025Following its recent combination with Viterra, the company is mobilizing an even larger global team to take action against hunger and promote sustainable food systems. Throughout October, employees are coming together “Hand in Hand” to support food security and give back to the communities where they live and work.

This month-long global initiative is taking place across 148 cities in 26 countries, uniting Bunge employees in a shared mission to address food insecurity. Volunteers are dedicating their time, skills, and resources to help more than 100 local organizations that focus on feeding communities, improving nutrition, and advancing education around food systems. Each Bunge site has been encouraged to identify local projects that align with the company’s focus on food security and education, ensuring every effort creates meaningful, community-driven impact.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Global Volunteer Program continues to grow in scale and purpose. With the addition of Viterra’s global workforce, the initiative’s reach has expanded significantly, empowering more employees to take part in tangible, hands-on service projects. The result is a more connected, more impactful network of volunteers united by one goal—helping to build a world where everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and sustainable food.

Since its inception in 2022, Bunge’s World Food Day Global Volunteer Program has served as a cornerstone of the company’s community engagement strategy. In just a few years, the program has facilitated hundreds of volunteer initiatives worldwide. These activities have ranged from organizing food drives and supporting food banks to delivering nutritional education programs and partnering with local schools and community organizations to combat hunger. Many of these collaborations have evolved into long-term partnerships, creating a sustained and positive impact in the regions where Bunge operates.
