The Fresh Market, a specialty grocery store renowned for its carefully curated selection of fresh products and welcoming atmosphere, has announced the temporary closure of its Hendersonville location due to severe flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. The store experienced extensive damage from the floodwaters, necessitating a rebuild over the next year. “We are deeply committed to this community and plan to rebuild our store,” stated Jason Potter, CEO of The Fresh Market. “We value our customers and employees in Hendersonville and look forward to welcoming everyone back to an enhanced shopping experience.”
During the reconstruction, The Fresh Market is prioritizing job security for its Hendersonville employees by offering positions at nearby locations, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being of its team members.
In addition, The Fresh Market is actively raising funds to support hurricane relief efforts for those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Customers can participate in a round-up campaign at checkout in all stores, with proceeds benefiting World Central Kitchen. This initiative will run through October 29, and The Fresh Market will further contribute $25,000 to enhance relief efforts.
“We are dedicated to the communities we serve as they recover from these devastating hurricanes,” Potter added. “Together, we can make a meaningful difference.”
