Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, a fast-casual-plus restaurant known for its Mexican favorites with a touch of Baja flair, has announced two key leadership appointments to drive future growth. Patrick Kirk, formerly the Chief Marketing Officer, has been promoted to President and Chief Marketing Officer. Meanwhile, Marshall Claycamp, who previously served as Executive Director of Operations Services at IHOP, has been named Chief Operations Officer.
In their new roles, Kirk will oversee the brand’s growth strategies, shape the Fuzzy’s Taco Shop experience, and manage all aspects of the organization. Claycamp will lead the operations for both corporate and franchise-owned locations.
“Patrick brings a wealth of experience from his time at our sister brand, Applebee’s, where he transformed the casual dining sector through innovative beverage programs, growing that segment into a $1 billion enterprise. His immediate impact at Fuzzy’s as CMO has been remarkable,” said John Peyton, CEO of Dine Brands. “He excels in building strategic plans and forging strong partnerships while focusing on delivering fun, engaging guest experiences. I’m excited for the new ideas and leadership he will contribute to our team.”
Kirk has over 23 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with a background that includes leading beverage programs and driving revenue growth at major brands like Applebee’s, Tony Roma’s, and Buffalo Wild Wings. In his previous role, he led Applebee’s bar and beverage strategy, significantly boosting the department’s revenue.
“I’m a big fan of Fuzzy’s bold attitude and values,” said Kirk. “Since Dine Brands acquired Fuzzy’s in 2022, I’ve been impressed with how the brand brings its Baja vibe to life and connects with guests. I look forward to working closely with the team and franchisees to unlock the brand’s potential.”
Marshall Claycamp, who has a diverse background in restaurant operations and franchise consulting, spent the last five years with IHOP. His experience includes roles in learning and development at Applebee’s and a deep involvement in restaurant operations.
“Marshall is a perfect fit for the role of Chief Operations Officer, thanks to his passion for restaurant operations and dedication to our culture,” Peyton added. “He is well-equipped to lead our operations as we continue expanding nationally.”
