Sweetgreen, the mission-driven restaurant brand focused on serving fresh, high-quality food at scale, is expanding its presence in Florida with the opening of its first-ever Jacksonville restaurant. The new location, at 4624 Town Crossing Drive in the St. Johns Town Center, is scheduled to open on September 15, marking sweetgreen’s debut in Northeast Florida.
The Jacksonville opening represents another step in the company’s broader expansion strategy as it brings its chef-crafted menu and farm-to-fork approach to a new community. To mark the occasion, sweetgreen will host opening-day festivities featuring local partners, complimentary offerings, interactive experiences and a special opportunity for guests to win a custom-designed surfboard.
The 2,560-square-foot restaurant will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., giving Jacksonville residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy sweetgreen throughout the day. The location will feature the brand’s signature salads, warm bowls and protein-forward plates, all prepared with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and balanced meals.
Among the menu favorites available at the new restaurant are the Crispy Rice Bowl and Miso Glazed Salmon. Guests will also have the opportunity to try some of sweetgreen’s newer menu offerings. The company has recently expanded its menu with wraps, providing a more portable way for customers to enjoy its signature ingredients and flavors.
The Jacksonville location will also feature sweetgreen’s limited-time Fall Harvest menu. The seasonal lineup includes the popular Autumn Harvest Bowl, along with two additional offerings: the Maple Glazed Salmon plate and Roasted Bacon Brussels side. The seasonal menu gives customers an opportunity to explore flavors associated with the fall season while continuing to experience the brand’s focus on fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
A Farm-to-Fork Experience
Ingredient quality and responsible sourcing remain central to sweetgreen’s restaurant experience. The Jacksonville location is designed to showcase the company’s connection to the farmers and growers responsible for supplying many of its ingredients.
An open kitchen will allow guests to see meals being prepared fresh throughout the day. The restaurant will also feature a source board highlighting the farmers and growers behind its ingredients. Together, these elements are intended to provide customers with greater visibility into the journey their food takes from farms and suppliers to the restaurant.
For its Jacksonville debut, sweetgreen is partnering with Lipman Family Farms, a family-run agricultural grower with deep roots in Florida and a strong emphasis on sustainable farming practices. The company is also working with Lady Moon Farms, a family-owned organic grower that has been farming organically since 1988.

These partnerships reinforce sweetgreen’s focus on building relationships with growers and suppliers while bringing high-quality ingredients to customers in Northeast Florida.
“Jacksonville marks an exciting milestone for sweetgreen as we make our debut in Northeast Florida and bring our mission to a brand-new market,” said Ryan Slemons, Chief Development Officer at sweetgreen. “With its active lifestyle and appreciation for fresh, quality food, Jacksonville is a natural fit for us. We’re excited to finally open our doors in the River City and look forward to getting to know the community and becoming a part of it.”
Sneak Peek Before the Grand Opening
Before the official September 15 opening, local customers will have an opportunity to experience the restaurant during two soft-opening events. Guests can RSVP through Eventbrite for a sneak peek and complimentary meal on September 11 and 12.
The soft-opening events are designed to give Jacksonville customers an early introduction to the new restaurant and its menu ahead of the grand opening.
The official opening-day celebration will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15. Sweetgreen plans to incorporate several Jacksonville-area partnerships and giveaways into the festivities, with special offerings available while supplies last.
Among the planned activities will be fresh-cut fruit from Fruit Float, giving guests an additional local food experience alongside their sweetgreen meals. A Volkswagen photo booth bus from Good Times Roll will also be available, creating an interactive setting for customers to capture memories from the restaurant’s Jacksonville debut.
Adding another local element to the celebration, sweetgreen is partnering with surfboard artist Alexx Gray for a custom surfboard sweepstakes. The one-of-a-kind board will provide customers with an opportunity to take home a personalized piece of artwork connected to the opening celebration.
Supporting the Jacksonville Community
Sweetgreen’s Jacksonville launch will also have a community-focused component through a partnership with Clara White Mission, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing and reducing homelessness.
As part of the opening-day initiative, sweetgreen will donate one meal to Clara White Mission for every meal purchased at the Jacksonville restaurant on opening day. The program is intended to help nourish members of the Jacksonville community experiencing food insecurity while connecting the restaurant’s launch with a broader commitment to local communities.
The partnership reflects sweetgreen’s effort to combine restaurant expansion with community engagement. Rather than simply introducing its brand to a new market, the company is using its opening day to support a local organization addressing food insecurity and homelessness.
Ordering and SG Rewards
Customers will be able to order meals at the restaurant, online or through the sweetgreen app. Customers using the app can also participate in SG Rewards, the brand’s loyalty program.
Eligible SG Rewards members earn 10 points for every dollar spent. Accumulated points can help members unlock personalized offers, exclusive perks and free menu favorites. The program provides another way for customers to engage with the brand while receiving rewards for their purchases.
With its St. Johns Town Center opening, sweetgreen is bringing its combination of fresh menu options, ingredient transparency, sustainable sourcing and community engagement to Jacksonville for the first time.
The launch also introduces Northeast Florida customers to the brand’s evolving menu, including its new wraps and seasonal Fall Harvest selections. Through partnerships with local and regional growers, community organizations and creative businesses, sweetgreen is positioning its Jacksonville debut as more than a restaurant opening—it is an opportunity to establish connections with the local community from day one.
As the doors open on September 15, Jacksonville customers will have a new destination for chef-crafted salads, warm bowls, wraps and protein-forward meals, alongside an opening celebration designed to highlight local food, art, entertainment and community involvement.
