Whiskey Jack Daniel’s Unveils First 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey in Over a Century
The Jack Daniel Distillery has unveiled its latest addition to the Aged Series, marking a historic moment in its legacy. For the first time in over a century, the distillery is introducing a 14-Year-Old Tennessee , an age-stated expression that hasn’t been seen from Jack Daniel’s since the early to mid-1900s.
This year’s Aged Series also includes the release of Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 3 and Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Tennessee Batch 4, further expanding the collection of meticulously aged spirits that pay homage to the brand’s rich history.
“When we released our first Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Tennessee a few years ago, we set out to honor the legacy of Jack Daniel himself and replicate the lineup of age-stated available during his time,” said Chris Fletcher, Master Distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery. “This year’s releases build upon that as we reintroduce our new 14-Year-Old Tennessee , the oldest age-statement for Jack Daniel’s in the last 100 years or more. These really showcase how a little extra time in our barrels is capable of producing something so special.”

A Look at the New Releases
The flagship release of this collection, Jack Daniel’s 14-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey, is bottled at 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV). It begins with Jack Daniel’s signature Tennessee mash bill, consisting of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye. As with all Jack Daniel’s , it undergoes the signature charcoal mellowing process, which involves filtering through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in new, charred American oak barrels.
The extended aging process brings forward a complex array of flavors, highlighting sweet bakery spices and deep layers of oak. On the palate, drinkers can expect bold notes of cinnamon and creamy butterscotch, balanced by rich leather and a long-lasting finish of aged oak and pipe tobacco.
Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 3 is bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV). This release delivers a smooth and creamy profile, characterized by flavors of pipe tobacco, seasoned oak, and butterscotch.
Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 4, bottled at 97 proof (48.5% ABV), leans toward an oak-forward profile, with layered notes of dark fruit and bittersweet cocoa, offering a complex yet approachable drinking experience.
