Agri-Food Value Chains Advance Through FPT and C.P. Group’s Strategic AI Partnership

Agri-Food Value Chains Advance Through FPT and C.P. Group’s Strategic AI Partnership

Global technology leader FPT Corporation and Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) have officially launched six strategic artificial intelligence (AI) transformation initiatives aimed at accelerating digital innovation across C.P. Vietnam’s integrated Feed–Farm–Food value chain. The programs mark a significant milestone in the partnership between the two organizations and reflect their shared vision of leveraging advanced technologies to enhance productivity, sustainability, and long-term growth within the agricultural and food sectors.

The initiatives build upon the strategic cooperation agreement signed by FPT and CPF during the Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum 2026. Through this collaboration, both companies seek to establish a comprehensive framework for integrating AI-driven solutions into agricultural production, livestock management, feed manufacturing, and food distribution operations.

The official Strategic Partnership Kick-off Ceremony took place on June 8, 2026, in Hanoi and was attended by senior executives, government representatives, and business leaders from both countries. The event was notably witnessed by Thailand’s Prime Minister, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, highlighting the growing importance of technology collaboration between Thailand and Vietnam. The presence of high-level government officials underscored the strategic significance of the partnership and its role in fostering innovation-led economic development across Southeast Asia.

As agriculture and food production face increasing pressures related to efficiency, food security, sustainability, and resource optimization, AI has emerged as a transformative technology capable of reshaping the industry. Recognizing this opportunity, FPT and CPF have developed a roadmap that introduces practical AI applications designed to improve decision-making, automate critical processes, and enhance operational visibility throughout the value chain.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will jointly implement six priority AI initiatives that address both operational challenges and future growth opportunities.

One of the key programs focuses on AI education and workforce development. Through specialized training initiatives, employees across C.P. Vietnam’s operations will gain the knowledge and skills required to effectively use AI tools and technologies in their daily work. This effort aims to build a digitally empowered workforce capable of supporting broader transformation objectives.

Another initiative centers on developing AI-powered disease consultation systems for livestock farmers. These solutions will help identify potential animal health issues more quickly and provide timely recommendations for disease prevention and management. By leveraging data analytics and AI-driven insights, farmers can improve livestock health outcomes while reducing economic losses associated with disease outbreaks.

The partnership will also introduce intelligent camera systems designed to enhance farm operation monitoring. These smart surveillance solutions will provide real-time visibility into farm activities, enabling operators to identify anomalies, improve animal welfare management, and optimize resource utilization. Such technologies can contribute to increased efficiency while supporting compliance with food safety and sustainability standards.

In feed manufacturing operations, AI will play a role in image-based raw material quality inspection. Advanced computer vision technologies will be used to evaluate agricultural inputs and raw materials more accurately and consistently than traditional manual inspection methods. This approach can improve quality assurance processes while reducing operational costs and minimizing human error.

Another priority project focuses on digital feed-mixing prescription management. By digitizing and automating feed formulation processes, CPF can enhance precision, consistency, and traceability in feed production. The initiative is expected to support improved animal nutrition outcomes while enabling more efficient production management.

The sixth transformation initiative targets sales management across dealer networks. AI-powered sales solutions will help optimize distribution strategies, improve customer engagement, and enhance market responsiveness. Through advanced analytics and predictive insights, sales teams can make more informed decisions while strengthening relationships with dealers and customers.

Implementation of these initiatives will follow a structured two-phase roadmap. The first phase will focus on establishing the necessary data infrastructure, digital foundations, and technology platforms required to support AI adoption. Once these foundations are in place, the second phase will concentrate on scaling successful applications across broader operations, ensuring that proven solutions generate measurable business value throughout the organization.

To support the transformation journey, FPT will deploy its AI-first strategy and extensive technology ecosystem. Central to this approach is FleziPT, the company’s end-to-end AI platform, which provides the technological foundation for developing, deploying, and managing AI applications at scale. FPT’s capabilities are further strengthened by a global workforce of more than 30,000 AI-augmented engineers and a network of AI Factories located in Vietnam and Japan.

In addition, FPT maintains strategic partnerships with leading global AI companies, enabling access to advanced technologies, expertise, and best practices. These resources position the company to support large-scale digital transformation programs across diverse industries and markets.

A key component of FPT’s methodology is its proprietary FPT CASAN framework, which provides a structured pathway for enterprise AI adoption. The framework consists of five progressive levels: Curious, Augmented, Standard, Automatic, and Native. Through this model, organizations can move beyond isolated pilot projects and establish a systematic approach to enterprise-wide AI transformation that delivers measurable and sustainable outcomes.

Levi Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan at FPT Corporation, emphasized the growing importance of AI in shaping the future of agriculture.

According to Nguyen, the agricultural sector is undergoing a profound digital transformation in which AI is enabling more connected, predictive, and autonomous operations. He noted that FPT’s AI-native capabilities, combined with its experienced workforce and structured transformation framework, position the company to help organizations successfully integrate AI into core business processes. He added that the partnership with CP aims to create a clear roadmap that supports organizations from the initial stages of AI exploration through to enterprise-wide adoption, ultimately enhancing productivity, improving decision-making, and driving sustainable growth across Thailand, Vietnam, and other regional markets.

Montri Suwanposri, Director and Member of the Executive Committee of CPF and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of C.P. Vietnam, highlighted the value of combining the strengths of both organizations.

He stated that the partnership demonstrates how collaboration between industry leaders can create tangible business and social benefits. By applying AI and digital transformation technologies across C.P. Vietnam’s integrated Feed–Farm–Food value chain, the company seeks to strengthen productivity, improve food safety, and enhance quality of life for consumers and communities.

Montri also reflected on C.P. Group’s long-standing presence in Vietnam, noting that the company has remained committed to innovation and sustainable development throughout its 33 years of operations in the country. He explained that the AI partnership with FPT represents the next stage of growth, reinforcing C.P. Vietnam’s role as a trusted partner within the agri-food industry while contributing to a more sustainable future and generating shared value for both Vietnam and Thailand.

Thailand remains one of FPT’s most important markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the years, the company has established partnerships with leading organizations across banking, finance, insurance, retail, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, utilities, consumer goods, and aviation sectors. Its extensive client portfolio includes globally recognized companies such as Unilever, Central Group, AIA, Prudential, Honda, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Microsoft, and Sunline.

Beyond its commercial activities, FPT also plays an active role in strengthening bilateral economic and technology cooperation. As a co-founder of the Vietnam–Thailand Chamber of Commerce (VietCham Thailand), the company contributes to initiatives that deepen business relationships, promote digital innovation, and support sustainable economic growth throughout the region.

The launch of the six AI transformation programs represents a significant step toward modernizing agricultural production and food systems through advanced technology. By combining CPF’s deep expertise in agri-food operations with FPT’s AI and digital transformation capabilities, the partnership aims to create a scalable model for smart, sustainable, and data-driven agriculture that can serve as a benchmark for the broader industry.
