Food Network NYC Wine & Food Festival Delivers Four Days of Star-Studded Culinary Experiences and Entertainment

The 19th annual Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Invesco QQQ (NYCWFF) brought together more than 35,000 food and beverage enthusiasts from October 15–18, 2026, for four days of culinary experiences, celebrity appearances, live entertainment and celebrations of New York City’s diverse dining culture.

Produced by a21, the Festival’s exclusive production partner, the 2026 edition featured more than 300 chefs, culinary personalities, creators and entertainers participating in over 50 events throughout New York City. The Festival marked an exciting return to the Seaport while introducing The Rooftop at Pier 17 as a new venue for several of its signature experiences.

From celebrity appearances by Sylvester Stallone and Bryan Cranston to Whoopi Goldberg’s participation in The Cookout, the event offered a wide-ranging program that brought food, entertainment and popular culture together. Music also played a central role, with performances by Method Man and D-Nice, while musician mgk, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, joined chef Michael Symon for a culinary demonstration.

The Invesco QQQ Festival Campus at the Seaport served as the center of the festivities. The Rooftop at Pier 17 made its Festival debut through the Norwegian Cruise Line Rooftop Series, providing a waterfront setting for tastings, celebrations and special culinary events. Across the city, intimate dinners, chef collaborations, live demonstrations and restaurant experiences highlighted the creativity and diversity of New York’s food scene.

In addition to celebrating culinary talent and hospitality, the 2026 Festival supported the James Beard Foundation and Event Zero Foundation. These partnerships reflected the event’s broader commitment to supporting the hospitality industry and advancing a more sustainable future for food, beverage and live events.

Blue Moon Burger Bash Opens the Festival

The Festival began on Thursday, October 15, with Blue Moon Burger Bash, one of NYCWFF’s most popular annual traditions. Hosted by Rachael Ray and Bert Kreischer and presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats, the event brought together some of New York City’s leading burger specialists for a competitive evening of creative recipes, bold flavors and audience participation.

Guests gathered at the Invesco QQQ Festival Campus to sample burgers from participating restaurants and chefs while a panel of celebrity judges evaluated the entries. Cedric the Entertainer joined Anthony Anderson, Sophie Flay, Ana Navarro, Andrew Rea and Jet Tila to help determine the competition’s winners.

The 2026 Burger Bash recognized three standout creations across its award categories.

Pat LaFrieda Judges’ Choice: Gotham Burger, created by Michael Puma, earned recognition for its classic Gotham Smash. The burger featured a double-smash Pat LaFrieda beef patty with grilled onions, melted American cheese, house-made pickles, jalapeños, club sauce, ketchup and mustard. The ingredients were served on a Martin’s Sandwich Potato Roll, combining familiar burger components with the restaurant’s signature preparation.

People’s Choice: Chef Jae Lee’s Nowon Legendary Cheeseburger won the audience vote. The creation featured a double-smash patty topped with American cheese, kimchi special sauce, pickles and raw white onion on a sesame brioche bun. As part of the award, the winner also received a cruise for two courtesy of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Mike’s Amazing Bottle Royale: Chef Keith Hernandez of RW Prime at Resorts World won with Midnight Shokupan. The short rib burger featured white American cheese, savory chili crisp aioli, pickled Fresno chili, frisée, perilla and crispy shiitake mushrooms on toasted Japanese shokupan bread. The award gave RW Prime an opportunity to develop and bottle its own signature sauce in collaboration with Mike’s Amazing.

The evening also delivered entertainment beyond the competition. Host Bert Kreischer brought his trademark humor to the event, taking off his shirt during the awards ceremony alongside Rachael Ray and adding another memorable moment to the opening celebration.

Hollywood Celebrities and Hospitality Industry Leaders Gather at the Seaport

Friday, October 16, brought together hospitality professionals, celebrities and beverage industry participants for Southern Glazer’s Trade Day presented by Square and sponsored by Wine Spectator. Hosted at the Invesco QQQ Festival Campus, the event welcomed more than 5,000 hospitality professionals for networking, industry conversations and opportunities to discover new products and business developments.

One of the day’s headline moments featured actor Sylvester Stallone in an onstage conversation with Festival Founder Lee Brian Schrager. The discussion covered Stallone’s involvement with Carbonadi Italian Vodka, the latest season of his television series Tulsa King and his professional collaboration with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, who also joined the conversation.

Actor Bryan Cranston added to the excitement with an appearance that included pouring shots of Dos Hombres for attendees. His participation brought additional attention to the intersection of celebrity culture and the beverage industry.

That evening, Cranston and chef Michael Voltaggio hosted Steak & Whiskey at The Rooftop at Pier 17. The event paired steak-focused culinary offerings with premium whiskey selections in a waterfront setting. Television personalities Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon, known for E!’s The Golden Life, also attended.

Friday’s programming expanded beyond traditional food and beverage formats with the introduction of Flavors of Bollywood. Hosted by chef Maneet Chauhan and Vijay Kumar, the event celebrated Indian cuisine, music and culture through a lively culinary experience that introduced guests to a range of flavors and cultural influences.

Saturday Celebrates New York’s Culinary Creativity and Nightlife

Saturday continued the Festival’s combination of food, culture and entertainment, culminating in the debut of New York After Dark presented by Airbnb. Hosted by chef Kwame Onwuachi, the event featured a special DJ set by D-Nice and drew inspiration from Onwuachi’s cookbook, All Hours.

The experience brought together food from some of Onwuachi’s favorite New York City restaurants, cocktails, music and the energy of the city’s nightlife. Guests also received copies of his new cookbook, giving attendees an opportunity to take home a piece of the culinary experience.

Throughout the weekend, the New York Lottery’s Grand Tasting welcomed thousands of visitors to the Invesco QQQ Festival Campus. The expansive gathering showcased restaurants, wines, spirits and a broad range of culinary experiences, allowing guests to explore different cuisines and interact with participating food and beverage brands.

Culinary Demonstrations presented by Bosch Home Appliances added another dimension to the program. Featuring a lineup of chefs and culinary personalities, the demonstrations gave audiences the opportunity to watch cooking techniques, learn about ingredients and see professional talent in action.

The Festival’s reach extended beyond the main campus. Restaurants throughout New York City hosted intimate dinners, chef collaborations and special culinary experiences, highlighting the city’s distinctive neighborhoods, diverse cuisines and innovative dining concepts. These events demonstrated how NYCWFF connects large-scale public celebrations with more intimate experiences centered on food and hospitality.

mgk, Food Creators and Interactive Culinary Challenges Highlight Sunday

Sunday, October 18, brought another full schedule of culinary demonstrations, creator-focused programming and cultural celebrations.

Musician mgk joined chef Michael Symon for a culinary demonstration, giving attendees a chance to see a different side of the performer. Earlier in the day, mgk appeared at Morning Buzz, where he spoke with Anthony Anderson about the opening of the newest location of his 27 Club Coffee brand.

The demonstration also produced a memorable personal moment when mgk helped a nine-year-old fan celebrate a birthday by leading the audience in a rendition of “Happy Birthday.” The interaction became one of the weekend’s standout examples of the personal connections between performers and Festival guests.

Sunday also featured Bank of America’s FoodieCon® presented by SUNSET® at Storied NYC. The gathering brought together prominent food creators and personalities for live discussions, interactive challenges and culinary experiences focused on the evolving world of food content.

A discussion with Bank of America explored the financial considerations involved in building a content creation business. The program also included mystery food challenges moderated by Nigel Ng, widely known as Uncle Roger, as well as a bodega cooking challenge hosted by chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Creators Carson Gillaspia and Stefan Johnson participated in the cooking competition.

By bringing creators, chefs, financial professionals and audiences together, FoodieCon® highlighted the growing connection between culinary expertise, digital storytelling and entrepreneurship. The programming offered a platform for conversations about the business opportunities and creative demands associated with food-focused content.

The Cookout Closes the Four-Day Celebration

The 2026 Festival concluded Sunday evening with The Cookout presented by Mike’s Amazing. Hosted by chef JJ Johnson and Angela Yee, the event celebrated Black cuisine, culture and music through food, performances and a gathering of culinary and entertainment personalities.

Whoopi Goldberg made a special appearance, adding another major celebrity moment to the Festival’s closing program. Rapper Method Man then delivered a performance that brought guests to their feet, with attendees singing along to his best-known songs and turning the celebration into a lively dance party.

The evening also recognized 2 Girls & a Cookshop, which won the Mike’s Amazing People’s Choice Award.

Other memorable moments throughout the weekend included Bryan Cranston and Michael Voltaggio wearing corn hats during their culinary demonstration at the Grand Tasting. These playful interactions reinforced the Festival’s informal atmosphere, where professional chefs, celebrities and food enthusiasts could connect beyond conventional stage performances and dining experiences.
