Using 2018 as a baseline, Valmont has made considerable progress toward its established 2025 sustainability targets. These goals were designed to position the company as a leader in carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and sustainable business operations. As of the latest reporting year:
- Carbon Intensity Reduction: Valmont has achieved a significant decrease in carbon intensity, dropping from 78.13 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂e) per million dollars of revenue in 2018 to 42.23 CO₂e MT/$M in 2024. This marks a reduction of nearly 46%, reflecting the company’s focus on decarbonizing its operations.
- Electricity Usage Reduction: The company reported a 47% decrease in normalized electricity consumption, down to 36.0 megawatt-hours (MWh) per million dollars of revenue.
