Bunge hosts first pile form at new factory in the Port of Amsterdam

On Thursday, December 7, Bunge hosted a first pile form for its state- of- the- art, sustainable product installation in the Port of Amsterdam. When completed in 2025 the factory will replace the Maasvlakte refinery in Rotterdam. product at the current Bunge position in Wormerveer will also be moving to this new installation.

The construction of the new installation on the HoogTij artificial area in the Port of Amsterdam is an important coming step in optimizing Bunge’s European asset footmark and will also allow Bunge to reach lesser functional inflexibility and effectiveness.

“ The new plant is erected according to the rearmost technological norms, performing in a largely effective and sustainable plant, which will start product in 2026, ” said David Vandermeersch, Bunge Vice President, EMEA. “ We aim for direct energy savings of 40 and a CO2 reduction of 90 by 2030. I’m extremely proud of the design platoon who worked diligently to get us to this important corner and am thankful for the government agencies we’ve worked with in close cooperation. ”

Also in attendance at the first pile form was King’s Commissioner Arthur van Dijk who said, “ By driving the first pile for the new plant, an important step has been taken in the transition to a sustainable assiduity in our fiefdom. I’m proud that the fiefdom of North Holland has been chosen as the position. This preserves knowledge and invention for the region. The old plant point on the Zaan will be put up for trade and the current destination will transition from artificial to mixed- use property. That is good news for the fiefdom. Councilor Stephanie Onclin from the megacity of Zaanstad Economic Affairs and the Labor Market was also in attendance and said, “ As a little girl, I looked out from my bedroom window at this Bunge product position. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025. The Company’s current product position along the Zaan in Wormerveer will move to the new position in phases after completion.
